Festival of Colors

Holi in Pushkar

Holi in Pushkar is a world-famous, high-energy celebration. The festival begins at the Brahma Temple with natural flower colors, then transforms the streets into a massive open-air party. High-volume EDM and techno street parties take over Varah Ghat and Brahma Chowk, alongside the famous 'Kapda Phaar' (shirt-tearing) street revelry. For safety and comfort, female and solo travelers are highly recommended to observe the intense street celebrations from local rooftop cafes.

Festival of Lights โ€” Deep Daan

Diwali at Pushkar Lake

Diwali transforms Pushkar into a vision of light on water. Thousands of earthen diyas (oil lamps) are floated on Pushkar Lake during the Deep Daan ceremony โ€” a tradition where devotees release lighted lamps as offerings, creating a shimmering reflection of the town against the dark Aravalli hills. The Brahma Temple and every ghat are illuminated with oil lamps and marigold garlands. Temple bells echo across the lake as families perform Laxmi Puja on the ghat steps. The sight of the white-walled town glowing in warm golden light, doubled by its reflection on the sacred water, is unforgettable.
